I Was Here Visibility and Memorial Events

The I Was Here Program was created from the belief that representation and visibility are essential to creating a community inclusive of and responsive to the needs of trans people. In an effort to bring the voices and visions of trans artists to the broader community, TWOC Healing Project hosts two annual events: one celebrating Trans Day of Visibility, and the other honoring Trans Day of Remembrance. Besides gathering and growing our relationships with community members, these events provide a platform and integrate queer and trans pioneers, icons, and  artists into the community.
