Lifting Our Voices to Vote

Civic engagement is a powerful tool for social change, enabling individuals to advocate for the needs of the needy and contribute to the betterment of society. By getting involved and staying engaged in their communities, people can create a better world for themselves and those around them.

Why is it important for TWOC to vote?

There are many reasons why it is important for Trans Women Of Color  to vote. One of the main reasons is to keep trans rights in the forefront and ensure that the progress made towards equality is not erased. Our rights are being threatened, and voting is one way to protect them.

By voting, we can ensure that our voices are heard and that our issues are addressed.

Voting is our civic duty, and it is a way to honor the sacrifices of those who fought for our right to vote. We cannot take this right for granted, and we must use it to demand justice and change for ourselves and our communities. Our votes count, and representation matters. By voting, we can protect our rights, receive a fair chance, and create a brighter future.

  • So we can keep trans rights in the forefront

  • Because our rights are being taken away

  • Because everything we fought for to insist could be erased so we must vote like our life depends on it

  • To ensure that our voices are heard. This current administration has led an office of hate and violence towards our trans and black communities. Removing access to healthcare is a basic human right and we are being denied that. This will affect our elderly and marginalized communities. We must vote for or suppress voters who can not. Especially out migrant folk who can not vote as well.
