What We Offer
Healing Through the Highway is a mobile, survivor-centered initiative addressing sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and structural barriers to care—particularly for Black trans women, TGNC people, and women living in rural and underserved communities.
Services include:
-
Mobile outreach and on-site survivor support
-
Sexual assault response, advocacy, and referrals
-
Trauma-informed case navigation
-
Barrier reduction (transportation, documentation support, linkage to affirming providers)
-
Community education on consent, bodily autonomy, and survivor rights
The Problem
-
Black trans women and cisgender Black women face disproportionate rates of chronic stress, medical neglect, and preventable health conditions.
-
Medical mistrust, discrimination, and economic barriers prevent consistent care.
-
Wellness services are often inaccessible, unaffirming, or financially out of reach.

Why We Are the Solution
We integrate prevention, care, and rest in one affirming ecosystem. Healing on Purpose recognizes that rest is resistance, and that wellness must address trauma, joy, and sustainability—not just survival.
